Blackout and sheer curtains in six rooms of a DAMAC Lagoons villa
A villa in the Costa Brava cluster of DAMAC Lagoons, with a blackout curtain and a sheer in the living room and five bedrooms, and roller blinds in the study and the maid's room. Fitted on 16 October 2026.
In each of the six rooms the sheer hangs nearest the glass and the blackout curtain in front of it, both pinch pleat and hung from the ceiling down to the floor.
AED 14,000 for eight rooms
Curtains, sheers, double tracks, roller blinds, measuring and fitting.

Curtains Express measured the villa and had everything up a few days later.
That AED 14,000 is for the whole job: six rooms of curtains and sheers on double tracks, and roller blinds in two more. A whole-villa order gets a better rate than a single window. For your own windows, the price calculator gives a first figure.

A living room glazed on two sides
The living room has glass on two sides, with sliding doors out to the garden. Along every run of it, a navy blackout curtain hangs in front of a white sheer.
By day the sheers are drawn and the blackout curtains stay pushed back. The room keeps its daylight, and while it is brighter outside than in, the neighbours can't see in.
Drawn back, the blackout curtains stack against the stretches of wall between the glass, so they take little of the view. Our sheer curtains page says more about the layer behind them.

Five bedrooms, the same two layers
Every bedroom has the same pair as the living room, in grey, blue or a pale blue-grey, with a white sheer behind it.
Each blackout curtain is a face fabric with a four-pass silicone blackout lining sewn behind it, so its cloth lets no light through. In the day it is pushed back, and the sheer takes the edge off the sun while you can still see out.

One bedroom with the blackout drawn
Drawn across, the blackout curtain covers the window from the ceiling to the floor and from wall to wall.
That reach is what keeps a bedroom dark. A blackout curtain lets no light through its cloth, so whatever light reaches the room comes round its edges. A curtain that starts at the ceiling and runs past the glass on both sides leaves it fewer ways in. The gaps, and how the fitting closes each one, are on our blackout curtains page.

Roller blinds in the study
The study is on the ground floor, and its window looks out onto a path and a hedge. It has three roller blinds instead of curtains, one to each pane of glass, so each comes down on its own.
A roller blind lies flat to the window and takes no floor space, which suits a desk that sits right up to the glass. The maid's room has a roller blind as well. Fabrics and the ways to fit one are on our roller blinds page.

Three more bedrooms, by day
The other three bedrooms, one of them the kids' room, photographed late in the morning with the blackout pushed back and the sheer drawn.
