Sunscreen vertical blinds for an office in Dubai Investment Park 1
Two sunscreen vertical blinds for a company's offices in Dubai Investment Park 1 (DIP 1), one in the manager's room and the other in a room with two desks. We fitted them on Monday 5 October 2026 at 6 in the evening, once the office had closed.
The louvres are 127 mm sunscreen in off-white, an open weave that takes the glare off the screens while the people at the desks can still see out.

Sunscreen for the working day
Sunscreen suits a room full of screens. With the louvres closed, the glare comes off the desks and the daylight still gets through. Turn them edge-on and the view is back.
It is a fabric for the day, though. After dark, with the lights on, the office is the brighter side, and anyone outside can see in through the weave. A room that has to stay private in the evening needs blackout louvres, and our office blinds page compares the two.
How the louvres move
The cord draws the louvres across the window and the bead chain turns them, anywhere from shut to edge-on.
Every louvre has a weight in its hem, and a chain links the hems along the bottom. That matters in the manager's room, where an air-conditioning vent sits in the ceiling close to the window. Louvres without the chain twist and drift apart in the draught; these hang in line and turn together.
